I have seen some coming from broken to ‘Unbroken’. I need to remember how… It takes people investing their time in the little/teen lives to show them a different way. In the 70′s we were foster parents.

It ends when someone take the 1st step to mend it… the 1st step of a lifelong journey into wholeness.

I spent 2 hours in Tony’s kinder room yesterday helping them one at a time to read a book to me. At recess time, one little guy ran up to me and grabbed my leg, looked up and said, “you are MY grandpa.” They had to use a mop, I melted. Have been thinking about that.. a lot.

Wow John this is great! Unfortunately I don’t think it will end entirely, but if people were to start treating others how they themselves want to be treated. Then one by one a child’s life can improve. And it’s words like these that help wake people up and make them think about what there doing or not doing…

It sure is a vicious cycle isn’t it? And how sad that it is– but there is Hope, and Faith, and Love— I firmly believe that as long as these are still alive (even just a tiny spark of it), then there is that chance of mending– yes, the cracks may still be there and not fully heal, but it’s a start– very thought provoking poem, John with so few words :)

Three of my favorite words. Hope Faith and Love. I am so please it has been received well. You never know. I see kids that I just want to wrap them up in love and take away the pain. A little guy in my grandson’s Kinder class where I had just spent two hours helping, came running up to me, grabbed my leg and looked up and said, “you are MY grandpa.” Melted me in my boots. I will be seeing them all every other Tue. May there will be something to write about. It is the little things that make a big difference in the lives of little ones… and big ones.

This is no end and the way to stop it is one at a time.
