We still hear
your voice on the
phone:
compelling
comforting
compassionate

My wife and I talk
about you
often:
sweet man
concern for you
could be our son

She read the poem
“To: Letter Four” and
cried:
still crying – from time to time
she cares for you
so do I

She said; you are
the reason I am at
Hello Poetry:
I am here for you
how can we help you?
I am writing again – because of you

God leads us in the
path we are to
travel:
I listen
He nudges
I follow

Forgiveness of my self
begins with accepting
“ME”:
as I am
not as I want to be
God takes care of – the rest

A most excellently penned write John, filled with the warm glow of friendship and the great love for a most dear friend. Your words echo care, concern and comfort for that someone so special and are so eloquently expressed. Thoughts, feelings so beautifully inked, the flow of the poem is like a chocolate fountain pouring down so majestically, encouraging inviting this dear friend to pop a marshmallow on a cocktail stick and hold it under the sweet flow, coating it in the delicious chocolate of life, eating it ravenously with a new hunger for life, with a promise that the best in life is to come yet! God helps us, of that there can be no doubt whatever, but we must first show Him that we are willing to and want to help ourselves and then, His divine help follows and there is NEVER a reason to look back with regret. Superb crafting John. A privilege to read and I thank you for sharing this wonderful work with me. Blessings, dear friend……………….

I could have used some of that in the piece Mari. WOW! Thanks Mari

    You’re writing because you’re a writer, john.
    that’s what you do.
    exquisitely.

    cheers.

The last few days and weeks has been difficult to write. I write because of a thumb in my back (not my wife) nudging me to DO SOME THING. This is the result which I pray will be an encouragement.

This is very different I like the format John, very personal… I agree with D writers, write.
An old friend of mine says why clutter up your mind with it when you can put it on the page, after all what are pages for?

    Thanks Paddy
